51st ANNUAL KC SYMPHONY ALLIANCE SHOWHOUSE

In the early months of 2020 before the shut down due to CoVid-19 we had the pleasure of designing two rooms for the Kansas City Symphony Alliance Showhouse. Our WGC! family partnered with Tamara Day and her local Kansas City boutique Growing Days Home to design a bedroom and laundry room. The rooms, named “The Daughter’s Bedroom” and “The Functional Launderette,” were a fun collaboration for all involved. The original in-person tours were cancelled but all the rooms in the home were later revealed in a full virtual tour. We are thankful we had the opportunity to design, work on and reveal these spaces for such a worth while and fun cause. VAILE MANSION

In 2019 we had the honor of custom creating period drapery for the historic Vaile Mansion in Independence, Missouri. With ever changing modern trends we often miss creating such ornate and lush window treatments. We were like kids in a candy shop while helping to select all the fabrics, trims and nuanced details. Keeping the character of the home, maintaining the integrity of the centuries old wood and creating showstopping swags were all on the agenda: and we rose to the challenge! HGTV’S BARGAIN MANSIONS

What began as a small opportunity for Kelly to be seen on TV alongside her long time friend has blossomed into season after season of working on HGTV’s Bargain Mansions. Under direction from Tamara Day and her team we have crafted one-of-a-kind window treatments, cushions, pillows and more. We have loved watching the show and Tamara gain popularity since 2017 and we are thrilled for her success! Her design eye, work ethic and can-do attitude make her a spirited and fun companion on and off the screen. Our Weave Gotcha Covered family is happy to have been a part of fulfilling Tamara’s design visions and our quality and craftsmanship can be seen on many episodes of this hit show.
